A lot of big sales are happening now that are getting me electrified. Unfortunately, it is hurting my bank account 🙁 . I picked up few items but most of the items are stripe; a t-shirt, a shirt, and a tunic top. I am totally loving the stripe trends. For me, stripes are always trending. Which means you should always have a piece of clothing in your wardrobe that is stripe especially a t-shirt or a shirt. If you sport a stripe piece, you will look striking, whether you want a casual, professional or a sophisticated look. In terms of colours, I liked red, blue and black stripes.
I will share with you the three clothing pieces which are stripes that I recently bought and how I style them. I know schools will be reopening soon and many are looking for simple outfits ideas that they can wear to school. I am sure persons can try at least two of the outfit. They are very comfy and are easy to put together. Also, most of the items I bought were on sales. Therefore, there are inexpensive. I do not know if I will find all the pieces but I will link similar clothing pieces. Hope you like my outfit ideas.
Outfit One:
As I was browsing through the clothing racks at Winners, I came across this cute penguin stripe shirt. It is so captivating. I like that it is different from the regular stripe-shirt; it has a unique twist to it. It has penguins design. I like to wear clothing pieces that have some cuteness to it. lol. The material of this shirt is very soft. Because I want a simple look, I am wearing this shirt with my favourite pair of Levis’ jeans. However, in order to give this outfit a more grown-up look, I wore my oxford-style shoes from Naturalizer. This outfit is perfect for a comfy casual look.
Outfit Two:
The reason why I bought this Old Navy top was the fact that it is a lace-up style top. Something little more than a simple blue and white stripe tunic top. This is one of the tops you want to have in your vacation-closet. It is a very comfortable tunic top; not too thick or thin. Just perfect to wear with any type of jeans or pants. I style this top wearing my simple black jeans which are also from Old Navy. To give this outfit some colour, I think wearing a pair of red shoes will simply do the trick. There are times when you prefer to wear comfortable clothing but you still wanted to look dazzling. Therefore, wearing bright coloured accessories whether a pair of shoe, a bag or jewellery can turn a boring outfit into a spectacular one.
Outfit Three:
My Favourite outfit!! Who could believe that this simple $5 H & M horizontal stripe top can be so versatile? I can wear it with a pants, jeans, skirt or even as inside for a dress. I could have simply just worn this t-shirt with the skirt. But I wanted to make this outfit look more stylish and trendy. I decided to create a mixed-pattern style outfit, a 2017 fashion trend – striped and plaid. In order to do this, I think wearing a long vest can achieve this. But I do not want to invest in a striped vest. So I wore my sleeveless checked dress as a vest.
Oh! The skirt is also part of my recent clothing haul. I bought it via the Mango online sales. Note: Just be careful about Mango sizing; items are larger than your normal size. My mom had to alter my skirt.
