Clean Beauty Brands – Skincare Worth Checking

Clean Beauty Brands

If you’re a follower of my blog you would’ve noticed that I experiment with a lot of clean skincare. The reason is that as I am ageing, my skin reacts more quickly. Just like how we think thoroughly about what we put into our body, the same should apply to what we put on our skin. That is why I am gravitating towards more clean beauty brands.

I don’t want to sound cliche when say #cleanbeauty. Clean Beauty is not just something that just trending and after it serves it time, it’ll vanish. No, it’s here to stay forever. We’re seeing that. Beauty brands are starting to wisely select the ingredients they put into their products. Even on the Sephora’s website, there is a clean label section. I have a confession, that is starting to be a push factor why I’m buying products. That is one market scheme I’m on board with. Because it makes my purchase decision way better. Every product that I bought and have a clean label sign, works.

What is Clean Beauty?

Clean Beauty is defined by products that are mindfully created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. Clean Beauty products include ingredients ethically sourced and are made with the health of our bodies and the environment in mind.

You won’t find Parabens, Phenoxyethanol, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Triclosan, Siloxanes, SLES, SLS, ALS, Aluminium, Butylated Compounds in the product’s ingredient list.

Some of the Clean Beauty Brands I tried are:

Herbivore

ย I was introduced to this brand by my sister. She is a sucker for herbivore products. After using the Herbivore Pink Cloud Cream, I got hocked with this brand. I’ve tried their Orchid Face oil, Blue Tansy Mask, Lapis oil, Glow potion, Green Tea Spray, Charcoal Soap & Phoenix Oil. Whatever describes on the label, it offers. Their product doesn’t irritate your skin but actually healed it. You won’t feel like you put on chemical on your skin. It’s more like using Ayurveda products. Their products are made with natural ingredients. I know the products are little on the pricey side. My favourites are their Lapis oil and Green tea spray. These products have drastically improved my hormonal acnes.

Youth to the People

My first expensive cleanser was from my first clean beauty brand, Youth To the People. I am happy that I put the effort into researching good cleansers or else I won’t have ever got a chance to stumble upon this freshness. Lately, I got their Superberry Hydrate and Glow Oil. Their product is very gentle on my skin but works exceptionally well. When browsing their products’ ingredients, only good thing you will read. That is, they’re made with natural things.

Sukin Naturals

Compared to a lot of other brands, Sukin actually sold wallet-friendly products. Don’t be fooled by the price, the products actually work just like any luxury beauty brands. I feel many don’t give Sukin the credits it deserved. I tried their products and I love it. Their Super Greens Detoxifying Clay Masque is my favourite.

Acure Blue Tansy Oil

Acure

Another underrated brand that I love. I was introduced to this brand unintentionally. My sister ordered few items from well.ca and as a gift, the send her the Acure Blue Tansy Face Oil. I have used this oil for many months and recently repurchased it. They not only sold skincare but also haircare. I’ve got their Shampoo and so far I’ve only positive things to say about it. It’s a family own business who ensure they offered organic products.

Farmacy

Their products are not only great but also formulated with naturally derived and toxic free ingredients. I’m certain that when I’m applying their formula on my skin, I won’t experience any strange reaction.

Nourish Organic

I only tried their eye cream. But according to their website, they’re the first beauty company to ever work with the United States Department of Agriculture to create a collection of products so pure that they could be certified organic. They also considered a vegan, a cruelty-free and a gluten-free brand.

Prim Botanicals

Their products are crafted with strictly hygienic ingredients. They target person who have sensitive skin but not limited to other skin types. Their products are designed to fight breakout, rashes, rosacea, dryness etc. They also a cruelty-free brand and sold Paraben free formulas. I’ve written a blog post on one of their face oil.

I’ll link below blog posts on products from these brands that I tried.

Some other Clean Skincare Brands I didn’t use but its worth mentioning

  1. Tata Harper -a lot of people rave about this natural brand in relation to their unique but clean skincare. I wanted to try their resurfacing mask, (a fan follower). A plus, they sold GMO-free products.
  2. Osea – I got exposed to this brand true celebrities skincare routine videos. The most notable ingredient you might find in some of their goodies is seaweed. They’ve skincare line that targets ageing concerns. They are also creating products that are safe for the environment.
  3. Drunk Elephant – again another brand that develops skincare that is formulated with natural ingredients. Also on the Drunk Elephant About US page, you’ll see that this brand was born out of a passion to learn about toxic and sensitizing ingredients.
