Five Beauty Hacks you should try

Many of us sometimes follow nifty techniques when applying our makeup. We want cake less face, clump free eyelashes etc.We don’t need to spend a lot of money to achieve this but reuse what we already have.I will share with you some little beauty hacks that I followed when applying my makeup and will not cost you a fraction of your money….

  • Using a Clear Mascara to help with Clumpy Lashes

Before using the black mascara, I’ll use a coat of the Maybelline Clear Mascara to separate my lashes. This aid with ensuring that my regular mascara on top of it does not appear too clumpy. But caused my eyelashes to look more natural and fuller. In my opinion, this tip works just or even better than an eyelash curler. Therefore, before throwing away those mascaras that do give you unsightly clumps you can try this trick.

  • Using a Clear Mascara as a Brow Gel

Using a clear Mascara as Brow Gel is an old school trick that I am sure many of us have already tried. However, I will still share for those who do not have a clue what I am saying. After I finish filling in your eyebrows using your favourite brow products, you can gently sweep a coat of those inexpensive clear mascara along your brow hairs. This really does a good job in making those bad-boys brows stay in place.

  • Add oil/serum to your Heavy Foundation to get a more natural look

Do you have a foundation that you found difficult to blend and spread plus looks very unflattering? When this happens, this normally leads to disappointment, especially when using one of those expensive foundations. Well no more worries, just add a drop or two of either your face oil or a serum into your foundation before applying it.This will cause your foundation to have a more water-airy texture which makes it a dream to work with. It’ll go on evenly and looks dewier causing you to achieve the ultimate flawless makeup finish. Plus you will have the opportunity to add more nourishment to your skin. This is a useful technique to try during the winter time when your skin is more on the drier side.

  • Using an Eyeshadow primer to stop foundation from rubbing off your nose

After finish prepping your skin, distribute a tiny amount of eyeshadow primer around the nose areas. Then use a damp makeup sponge to apply the foundation. When finish with these steps, then you can go ahead and gently tap the translucent powder on to your skin

Doing this will not only increase the longevity of the product but also prevent it from creasing. Since most times creasing of foundation tends to occur around the nose areas. This technique I learned from watching YouTube videos.

Notes:ย (1) Try avoid using foundations that are dry and have thick consistency. I tried that and my looks turn out terrible – not a nice scene.

    (2) Try not to set the eyeshadow primer base with a pressed powder before apply the foundation. I tried it and again I was not impressed with the result.

  • Wearing a matte lipstick as a moisturizing lipstick

In order to do this, I will use a very moisturizing lip balm especially ones that have a thick and watery consistency. I recommend using the Smith Rosebud Salve in Tube. Then wait for a couple of seconds for the product to settle properly on the lips. Then after you can go ahead and apply your favourite matte lipstick. By using a lip balm, the formula will go on super easy and smooth. Additionally, it will make your lipstick to look glossy and will feel very moisturised.
